A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF BRIAN HAIL AS A BOARD MEMBER OF CHEROKEE HEALTH PARTNERS

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, it is beneficial for the Cherokee Nation to advance the quality of life of its citizens and for all peoples of Oklahoma; and,

WHEREAS, the health and welfare of all Cherokee citizens and assuring the highest quality of medical services are made available are significant issues and concerns of the Cherokee Nation; and,

WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation has partnered with Northeastern Health Systems as Cherokee Health Partners in 2004 to assure there are alternative health services in certain specialty areas for the Cherokee Nation to work together with Northeastern Health Systems for the best health services for its citizens;

WHEREAS, the original shareholder for Cherokee Health Partners was Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency as an agency of the Cherokee Nation  but is now Cherokee Nation, and, therefore,

WHEREAS, to have good representation for Cherokee Nation with Cherokee Health Partners, board members should be appointed to serve on the board for the Health Partners; and

WHEREAS, Brian Hail is duly qualified and has been selected by the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation to serve as a board member of Cherokee Health Partners.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Brian Hail is now hereby confirmed as a board member for Cherokee Health Partners and will serve a term of (2) two years, October 2019 until October 2021.
