Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A REQUEST TO THE INDIAN HEALTH SERVICES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2019 JOINT VENTURE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM AGREEMENT FOR RENOVATIONS AND OPERATIONS OF THE TAHLEQUAH HOSPITAL AND CLINICS

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and

                     

WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation has determined that a needs exists for inpatient renovations and construction for clinical service expansions; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation wishes to seek the staffing and operational funding for the expansions by participating in the Indian Health Service Joint Venture Construction Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation agrees to purchase the necessary equipment and provide the construction and renovations to Cherokee Nation Health Services.

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Health Services to participate in the 2019 Indian Health Service Joint Venture Construction Program, and that the Principal Chief (or his designee) shall be authorized to execute all official documents in this regard.
