A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF CROSBY CONNOR CAUGHRON AS A MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATIONAL HOME HEALTH BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc. was created and authorized as a Tribal Corporation by Article VI, Section 10 of the Constitution of the Cherokee Nation, Legislative Act 11-85 and Legislative Act 3-90. The Governing Board was created and authorized by Resolution 95-97 and by Title 18, Section 21 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated (CNCA);
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation is authorized to appoint the members subject to confirmation by majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, the term of Office of one of the five (5) Board Members is now vacant; and
WHEREAS, Crosby Connor Caughron is duly qualified to fill this vacancy pursuant to Article III, Section 3.01, of the Bylaws of the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Crosby Connor Caughron is hereby confirmed as a member of the Cherokee Nation Home Health board and will serve a term from December 2019 and expiring December 31, 2023.
