A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF WAYNE COLDWELL AS GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized by Article V, Section 7 of the constitution of the Cherokee Nation and legislative act 03-04;

WHEREAS, the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation is authorized by section 5.E. of LA-03-04 to select members of the board, subject to the majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;

WHEREAS, Wayne Coldwell is duly qualified and has been selected by the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation to serve as a governing board member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE).

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Wayne Coldwell is hereby confirmed as a member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) and its successors and will serve a term of (3) three years from November 2019 and expiring November 31, 2022.
