A RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVISIONS TO THE 2020 INDIAN HOUSING PLAN

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation will apply for the 2019 Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG);
WHEREAS, the award must be incorporated into the Indian Housing Plan for submission to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development;
WHEREAS, the 2020 Indian Housing Plan was approved by Resolution No. 30-19 on July 15, 2019, and the Indian Housing Plan now needs to be amended.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the changes to the 2020 Indian Housing Plan are approved to be incorporated in a revised 2020 Indian Housing Plan, along with any conforming changes directly related to such changes and no others, and submitted to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
