A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE A VEHICLE TO RURAL COMMUNITY INITIATIVE FOUNDATION IN SEQUOYAH COUNTY

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse has the following vehicle in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:
Item# 73663 2004 Black Chevy 2500HD
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate this vehicle in “as- is” condition;
WHEREAS, the Rural Community Initiative Foundation is located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this vehicle would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this vehicle to Rural Community Initiative Foundation in Sequoyah County as set out above.
