A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO BRIGGS PUBLIC SCHOOL

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse has the following items in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:
2- Power Racks 2- Weight Bars - Lt. Weight Dumbbells
1- Set of Free Weights 2- Weight Benches
1- Set of Bumper Weights - Weight Tree
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate these items in "as- is" condition.
WHEREAS, Briggs Public School located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of said items would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this surplus items to Briggs Public School as set out above.
