A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF FRANK DELOZIER AS A COMMISSIONER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION GAMING COMMISSION

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission was established and codified under Title IV of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated;

WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to select the members of the Commission subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;

WHEREAS, Frank Delozier is duly qualified to be reappointed as Commission pursuant to Section 12, Chapter 2, Title IV of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated.

                      BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Frank Delozier is hereby confirmed reappointed as a Commissioner of the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission, Seat One (1), for a term of three (3) years as authorized by Section 21, Chapter 2, Title 4 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated, from September 20, 2021 to September, 2024.
