A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF TITLE OF TRIBAL TRUST LAND TO MUTUAL-HELP HOUSING PARTICIPANT

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, Mutual-Help Housing participant, Josephine Butler, certified member of the Cherokee Nation, has applied to the Cherokee Nation requesting assignment and title of house site located on Cherokee Tribal Trust Land to her son, Eddy Dale Asbill;

WHEREAS, said participant has received a Certificate of Release and Satisfaction from the Cherokee Nation Housing Authority establishing that she has paid for the home;

WHEREAS, that the Cherokee Nation Real Estate Services, prepare the necessary documents for executing transfer of title and assignment in favor of Mutual-Help Housing participant, Josephine Butler’s son, Eddy Dale Asbill, in accordance with the official Legal Survey Plat thereof, described as follows:

A parcel of land containing 1.15 acres more or less, located in the NE4 NE4 NE4 of Section 7, Township 14 North, Range 25 East, I.B.&M., Adair County, Oklahoma, being described as follows: Beginning at a point on a county gravel road 86.60 feet S89°49’40”W of the SE corner of the said NE4 NE4 NE4, being on the South line thereof; thence S89°49’40”W along said line 280.0 feet; thence N00°16’33”W a distance of 202.14 feet; thence N89°49’40”E a distance of 216.84 feet to a county gravel road; thence S17°37’10”E along said road 211.89 feet to the Point of Beginning.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council, in order to improve efficiency, grants the Cherokee Nation Real Estate Services Department authority to transfer Cherokee Tribal Land where the house site is located, and the proper documents be prepared to t...
