A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF RICK DOHERTY AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CHEROKEE NATION WASTE MANAGMENT, LLC.
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC is a Limited Liability Company created and authorized under the Cherokee Nation Limited Liability Company Act;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to nominate the members of the Board of Directors subject to a majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Rick Doherty, is duly qualified and should be appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Rick Doherty is hereby confirmed as a member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Waste Management, LLC, and its successors, for a term from September 30, 2009, until September 30, 2012; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Resolution #101-09 is hereby rescinded and superseded by this resolution.
