A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE NOMINATION OF DIANA STITES ELROD AS A BOARD MEMBER OF CHEROKEE NATION HOME HEALTH SERVICES, INC.
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc., is a Wholly-Owned Tribal Incorporated Company created and authorized under the laws of Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Legislative Act 17-22, the Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc. Board Composition and Payment Act of 2022 clarifies the Board of Directors composition;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief is authorized to select the members of the Board of Directors, subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Diana Stites Elrod is duly qualified and should be appointed to the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc.; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, the Tribal Council hereby confirms Diana Stites Elrod as a member of the Board of Directors of Cherokee Nation Home Health Services, Inc. beginning July 11, 2022 and expiring July 31, 2024.
