A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION FBO: BACONE COLLEGE

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse has the following items in its inventory that has been deemed surplus:

Item: 61872- 5 drawer lateral file cabinet (metal)

Item: 4386- 5 drawer lateral file cabinet (metal)

Item: 68950- 6 drawer lateral file cabinet (metal)

Item: 130070- 4 drawer lateral file cabinet (metal)

Item: 138617- 4 drawer lateral file cabinet (wooden)

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate these items in "as- is" condition.

WHEREAS, the Daughters of the American Revolution wish to donate these items to Bacone College, which operates on limited funds and the donation of said items would benefit them greatly.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate these surplus items to Daughters of the American Revolution as set out above.
