A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS EXERCISE EQUIPMENT FROM SEQUOYAH SCHOOLS TO BELFONTE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Sequoyah Schools has installed new exercise equipment and will surplus the old equipment and Belfonte Elementary can utilize the equipment which has been surplused;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Sequoyah Schools recognizes the need to be resourceful with our Nation's assets and assist our public schools when possible;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the donation of the surplused exercise equipment to Belfonte Elementary School.
