A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS LUMBER OWNED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION TO ORGANIZATIONS DESIGNATED  BY THE PRINCIPAL CHIEF

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people and;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America and;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation, has in its possession surplus lumber acquired through various transactions, whose donation to charitable or civic organizations would be beneficial to the Cherokee Nation.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, Chadwick Smith, and/or his authorized designee(s) be authorized to execute the donation of the surplus lumber to various charitable or civic organizations.
