A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE DONATION OF SURPLUS OFFICE EQUIPMENT FROM CHEROKEE NATION TO WEBBERS FALLS HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSUEM
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
 
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation has in its possession, equipment that has been determined surplus, namely:
 
1.      Two (2) Chairs
2.      Two (2) File Cabinets
3.      One (1) Table
4.      One (1) Conference Table;
 
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the Cherokee Nation to donate said equipment to the Webbers Falls Historical Society Museum, expansion of research area;
 
WHEREAS, Webbers Falls Historical Society Museum is a 501 c3 organization operating on limited funds and to accomplish one (1) of the goals for the community, to be included as a featured site of the Cherokee Nation Cultural Tour.
 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the donation of surplus office equipment to the Webbers Falls Historical Society.
