A RESOLUTION REQUESTING APPROVAL OF THE LOCATION OF EACH PRECINCT FOR THE 2011 CHEROKEE NATION ELECTION

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and,

WHEREAS,       the Tribal Council is authorized to approve the location of each precinct for the 2011 Cherokee Nation Election according to Section 61 of Legislative Act No. 6-10; and

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Rules Committee is authorized to approve the location of each precinct for the 2011 Cherokee Nation Election for the Tribal Council as follows:
