A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHEROKEE NATION WAREHOUSE TO DONATE SURPLUS ITEMS TO SPARROW HAWK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government-to-government relationship with the United States of America; and,
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Warehouse desires to donate these item(s) in “as-is” condition; and,

WHEREAS, the Sparrow Hawk Volunteer Fire Department, located and operating within the Cherokee Nation Reservation, operates on limited funding, and the donation of said items would benefit them greatly.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby authorizes the Cherokee Nation Warehouse to donate this surplus equipment to the Sparrow Hawk Volunteer Fire Department as set out above.
