A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LEASING OF TRIBAL TRUST LAND TO HOUSING APPLICANT
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, Lorene Taylor, certified member of the Cherokee Nation, has applied to the Cherokee Nation requesting a housing lease for her home site located on Cherokee tribal trust lands;

WHEREAS, said participant has applied with the Cherokee Nation Housing Services - Housing Rehab Programs to get repairs to her home;

WHEREAS, that the Cherokee Nation Real Estate Services, prepare the necessary documents for a housing lease in favor of the applicant with waiver of bond and appraisal. This document is required as part of the application process through the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The property is described as follows:

A tract of land situated in Government Lot 1 of Section 4, Township 12 North, Range 26 East, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, described as follows: Commencing at the SW corner of said Government Lot; thence N00°03’40”E along the West line of said Government Lot a distance of 400.63 feet; thence S89°56’20”E and perpendicular to said West line a distance of 326.80 feet to the point of beginning, said point being on the centerline of a county road; thence N54°26’27”E and leaving said centerline a distance of 192.67 feet; thence S39°52’48”E a distance of 128.49 feet; thence S20°22’04”E a distance of 122.33 feet; thence S56°06’24”W a distance of 55.45 feet; thence S80°02’15”W a distance of 128.07 feet to the centerline of a county road; thence N17°47’01”W along said centerline a distance of 14.40 feet; thence N36°47’16”W along said centerline a distance of 175.57 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.00 acres, more or less…basis of bearings: GPS observat...
