Jody Reece is the Executive Director of Financial Oversight at the Council of the Cherokee Nation, the Legislative Branch of the Cherokee Nation Government. In his role, Jody provides financial advisement to the Cherokee Legislature related to appropriation bills, long term capital financing, component unit monitoring, as well as general advisement of financial implications to the legislative decision making process. He works closely with the Treasurer’s Office to ensure prudent fiscal policy and statutory budget compliance.

Jody received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Northeastern State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Management Accountant. He brings over 25 years experience to the Tribal Council in financial reporting and analysis, problem solving and management leadership experience.

Jody is a Cherokee citizen born in Muskogee and raised in Webbers Falls. Jody currently resides in Cherokee County near Lake Tenkiller.
