Along with a sister and two brothers Keith Austin was raised in Talala Ok, his father was a truck driver and his mother was a seamstress. He attended Oologah schools until his junior year, and graduated from Catoosa in 1980. He continued his education at Tulsa and Claremore Junior Colleges.

Keith started his career working for a local family owned furniture store. Over the course of several years he was promoted to Operations Manager.

In 1990 he went to work as a durable medical equipment sales rep helping elders and those with other physical challenges find solutions to their mobility challenges. After four years he was ask to join the management team as a Regional Sales Manager.

In 1999 Keith founded All Points Delivery where his career continues.

Keith served as president of Verdigris Band Boosters, Chairman of the Multi Booster Organization and continues to serve as Lay Leader at Verdigris United Methodist Church.

In 1988 he married Pam, also a Cherokee citizen, They have made their home in the Verdigris Community. They have two children, Matt and his wife Kaitlin, and Alyssa and her husband Max.

A direct decedent of Judge John Martin, The first Supreme Court Justice of the Cherokee Nation, Keith was elected to the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council for District 14 in 2015. Prior to serving on the Tribal Council he served on the Cherokee Phoenix Editorial Board.
