A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF COLTON MONTGOMERY AS A GOVERNING BOARD MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION COMPREHENSIVE CARE AGENCY (PACE)
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE) was created and authorized by Article V, Section 7 of the constitution of the Cherokee Nation and legislative act 03-04;
WHEREAS, the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation is authorized by section 5.E. of LA-03-04 to select members of the board, subject to the majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation;
WHEREAS, Colton Montgomery is duly qualified and has been selected by the Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation to be reappointed to serve as a governing board member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE).
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Colton Montgomery is hereby confirmed reappointed as a governing board member of the Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency (PACE), seat One (1), for a term of three (3) years as authorized by the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated, from October 15, 2024, to October 31, 2027.
