Title

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION HEALTH SERVICES TO DONATE A METAL FRAME BUILDING TO ZION SCHOOL IN ADAIR COUNTY

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Health Services has a metal frame building located at the Wilma P. Mankiller Stillwell Clinic that has been deemed surplus; and

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Health Services desires to donate this equipment in “as- is” condition with Cherokee Nation and/or its entities assisting with and/or disassembling the metal frame building; and

 

WHEREAS, Zion School located within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional boundaries, operates on limited funds and the donation of this metal frame building would benefit them greatly; and

 

WHEREAS, Zion School will arrange for the transport and reassembly of the disassembled metal frame building from the Wilma P. Mankiller Stilwell Clinic.

                                          

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes Cherokee Nation Health Services to donate this surplus metal fame building to Zion School in Adair County as set out above.
