RESOLUTION NO. 36-89
Authorizing the Continuation of Health Service for the
Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
With the Indian Health Care Resource Center of Tulsa, Oklahoma
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma Special Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (wIC) is to be administered as an adjunct of good health care and appropriate health services must be made available; and
WHEREAS, a competent professional authority (physician, physician's assistant, registered nurse, dietitian, nutritionist or medically trained health official) must perform certification procedures for which the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is unable to provide all the ongoing health services and all the competent professional staff required by the WIC Program Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Principal Chief, WILMA P. MANKILLER and/or her authorized designee(s) be authorized to enter into a contractual agreement with Indian Health Care Resource Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma for the purpose of continuing health service for the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) through the Indian Health Care Resource Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
CERTIFICATION
The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Council of the Cherokee Nation at a duly called meeting on the Loth day of June , 1989, having 15 members present, constituting a quorum, by the vote of 15 yea; o nay;
