A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHEROKEE NATION HEALTH SERVICES TO DONATE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT TO GRAND LAKE MENTAL HEALTH IN JAY

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

 

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

 

WHEREAS, It is always beneficial for the Cherokee Nation to partner and support other emergency response agencies within the Nation’s jurisdiction for the benefit of our citizens; and

 

WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Health Services has accrued surplus equipment located at Sam Hider Health Clinic in Jay, Oklahoma; and

 

WHEREAS, the equipment is believed to be important to the operation of the building and includes; an alarm system (CN 72845), a Kardex moveable filing system (CN72843), a set of pharmacy cabinetry and several dental items that include eight dental chairs and associated cabinetry.

 

WHEREAS, the donation of the equipment to Grand Lake Mental Health in Jay, Oklahoma will substantially support and enhance the effectiveness of the building as it is used by Grand Lake Mental Health and could benefit Cherokee Nation citizens who utilize the facility. therefore;

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION that the Tribal Council hereby authorizes the donation of the above described surplus and authorizes Cherokee Nation Health Services to donate the above items to the Grand Lake Mental Health group in Jay, Oklahoma
