A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE DONATION OF A LAPTOP COMPUTER FROM CHEROKEE NATION BUSINESSES TO THE INDIAN WOMEN'S POCAHONTAS CLUB

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation Business is wholly owned by the Cherokee Nation.
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Businesses has in its possession, equipment that has been determined surplus, namely: one laptop computer, DELL Latitude D610 Laptop, Model #PP11L, Serial #07898349890528
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the Cherokee Nation Businesses to donate said equipment to the Indian Women's Pocahontas Club;
WHEREAS, Indian Women's Pocahontas Club is a 501 c3 organization operating on limited funds, serves Cherokee citizens throughout the Cherokee Nation's 14 county jurisdictional area, and desires to increase its capacity to serve the community with the acquisition of computer equipment.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that the Council of the Cherokee Nation hereby authorizes the donation of a laptop computer to Indian Women's Pocahontas Club.
