A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE REAPPOINTMENT OF STEVEN M. WILSON AS A COMMISSIONER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION TAX COMMISSION

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America;

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission Board of Commissioners was created and authorized by Title 68 §11 of the Cherokee Nation Code Annotated;

WHEREAS, Steven Wilson is currently a Commissioner and is duly qualified to be reappointed as a Commissioner pursuant to the laws of the Cherokee Nation.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Steven M. Wilson  is hereby confirmed as a Commissioner of the Cherokee Nation Tax Commission, Seat 3, for the term beginning May, 2013 expiring May, 2016 as authorized by Legislative Act 1-90, the Act of February 10, 1990.
