A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF LINDA O'LEARY AS A MEMBER OF THE CHEROKEE NATION GAMING COMMISSION

Body

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government in behalf of the Cherokee people; and

WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and

WHEREAS, the Principal Chief, as representative of the Cherokee Nation is authorized to select the members of the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission, subject to majority vote of the Council of the Cherokee Nation; and,

WHEREAS, Linda O’Leary is duly qualified and should be as a member of the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission and its successors.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, that Linda O’Leary is hereby confirmed as a member of the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission and its successors, a term beginning in September 2019 and expiring September 31, 2020.
