A RESOLUTION RELATED TO POTENTIAL ACTIONS OF THE CHEROKEE NATION MEMBER OF CHEROKEE HEALTH PARTNERS
Body
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation since time immemorial has exercised the sovereign rights of self-government on behalf of the Cherokee people; and
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation is a federally recognized Indian Nation with a historic and continual government to government relationship with the United States of America; and
WHEREAS, Cherokee Health Partners, L.L.C. is a tribal Limited Liability Company created and authorized under the Cherokee Nation Limited Liability Company Act;
WHEREAS, Cherokee Nation is a 51% owner of Cherokee Health Partners, L.L.C.
WHEREAS, under the Cherokee Nation Corporations Act, the Principal Chief and the Tribal Council jointly act as the Member for any Cherokee Nation Limited Liability Company.
WHEREAS, certain actions need to be taken for Cherokee Health Partners, L.L.C. that are reserved to the Member.
WHEREAS, the Cherokee Nation Tribal Council wishes to grant the Principal Chief the authority to act on behalf of the Tribal Council for its role as joint Member of Cherokee Health Partners, L.L.C.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CHEROKEE NATION, the Principal Chief has the authority to act on behalf of the Tribal Council for its role as joint Member of Cherokee Health Partners, L.L.C.
